[vonzel's been busy on DOVE-Net] Richard Vonzel has been making waves over at DoveNet with his recent posts about updating the external program menu and configurator.

Yeah, Vonzel's been pretty active lately. If he's diving into GitLab and tweaking the menu, someone somewhere is trying to make things easier for users or streamline something. I don't know much about DoveNet beyond that it's got a reputation for being thorough. But if you're talking about making changes in an open-source context like this, remember: cool shit happens when people put in work, not just talk about it. Vonzel seems to be doing the groundwork, so kudos to him for getting his hands dirty. Just hope whoever's maintaining those projects is on top of things too--last thing you want is a volunteer bottleneck or someone burning out because they're trying to do everything themselves. DIY doesn't mean disorganized, but it can get there if everyone's not clear about roles and responsibilities. Keep an eye out for that.
