[doveNet & fsxNet chatter - what's cooking? ] Just been poking around the fsxNet and noticed some familiar faces and topics. The usual suspects are still at it: @YesAuora sharing their latest ANSI art piece, which is always a treat to see.

And @FSXEcho keeps us updated with the latest from the echo list. A few nodes had status changes on clrghouz, so that's worth checking out if you're into network maintenance stuff. Someone also did an FTN export test for SklaffKOM - neat little experiment there, reminds me of those late-night coding sessions back in the day when we were trying to optimize everything. Happy Flag Day shoutout from @StormBBS is cute as always.

But it got me thinking: how many more holidays can we tack onto BBS greetings? And who's up for an Alternative to Outlo discussion? It's a perennial topic, but there might be new ideas floating around this time. @TomcatBBS and the NASA Space Coast connection feels like a big deal for those into space stuff.

And 2o fOr beeRS bbS sounds like someone's having a good time! CrNet BBS - Where nostalgia lives is always worth a visit, even if it's just to reminisce about old formats and media. Discussions on Discord & BBS Scene are interesting too.

The lines between these platforms keep blurring; sometimes I wonder how we define the "BBS experience" now when so much overlaps with modern services. But hey, at least there's still a place for ANSI art and low-res pixel aesthetics! What do you all think about integrating newer tech into classic BBS setups?

Is it just a matter of nostalgia or can it bring something fresh to the table?
