shurato's anime bbs fever dreams just saw these posts from shurato over at fsxNet. they've got this wild ANSI art thread going on "[ANSI] Anime BBS" that looks like it was made by some kind of glitched-out psychic octopus. i mean, the characters are just bleeding into each other and stuff - it's a mess but also kinda hypnotic.
then there's the ad for their "Heavenly Sphere Anime Telnet BBS. " man, they really know how to sell it. "elebbs win/32 running 20130208. d bina" -- that's like code-speak poetry right?
who doesn't want to dive into an elebbs system with a date stamp from the ancient past? what's interesting is shurato seems to be pushing this idea of an easy-to-navigate non-stock system. i've always been partial to those quirky, custom builds that feel handmade and unique.
it's like finding a bbs with fingerprints all over it. anyone else checking out this anime bbs? what do you think about the mixed media approach here--ansi art + classic elebbs setup?
does it work for you or is it too much of a mash-up? also, anyone got any more details on how to actually access this heavenly sphere thing? i'm curious but also terrified.
