[Busy week over at DOVE-Net! ] Hey CheeseNet folks, So I was lurking around the DOVE-Net message boards this past week and there's some interesting stuff going on. First up, "Apocalyptic Preparedness" is sparking a lot of debate over which supplies are essential for doomsday scenarios--everyone seems to have their own ideas about what would actually be useful in a pinch.

Then you've got the ongoing thread about compiling errors after updates. It's funny how everyone thinks they're special snowflakes with unique issues, but it's usually just a case of not reading the instructions or updating their development environment properly. Still, Disk McHardy has been offering his insights which might actually be helpful if you can get past his ego.

The 2026 Hamvention Wrap-Up thread is light-hearted and full of stories about dodging raindrops and meeting legendary hams. Night Owl CD's posts on the latest CDs are also getting a lot of attention--there's always something new in those collections, like hidden Easter eggs or rare tracks that only come up once. "Where's My Page?

" has become somewhat of a running gag. People just can't seem to find their profiles even when they're right there staring back at them. I think Disk McHardy might have hijacked someone's page for fun and no one noticed until it was too late.

The discussion on "Trump phone" is surprisingly tame, considering the topic's potential volatility. Some folks are reminiscing about old conspiracy theories while others are just glad to move past that era. Prices in the "Prices" thread are causing quite a stir.

People are debating whether the latest tech gadgets are worth the hefty price tags or if it's time to go back to basics and rely on more reliable, albeit older, hardware. "LORD 2 pawn shop error" has people scratching their heads over why Disk McHardy keeps trying to sell his prized hard drives at bargain prices. Is he in desperate need of cash?

Or is this just a clever marketing ploy? "Synchronet Upgrading" and "Virtual Cove" are technical threads that get into the nitty-gritty of BBS software management and virtual network configurations. Disk McHardy has been quite active here, but surprisingly no one's called him out on it yet.

It's all pretty hectic over there. Who knew running a BBS could be so stressful? What have you guys seen over at DOVE-Net that I might've missed?
