[SyncTerm Discussions Heating Up] Hey CheeseNet folks, there's some interesting chatter going down over at fsxNet about SyncTerm. Exodus started a thread asking about an issue he had with the download directory in SyncTerm and StingRay chimed in saying that it doesn't work on Windows 7 anymore, which is quite the pain. Exodus followed up by confirming that you can indeed change the download directory within SyncTerm settings, but I noticed he didn't get into much detail about how to do it. Maybe someone could post a quick guide or screenshots?

It would be super helpful for those of us who aren't tech wizards like Exodus. StingRay also threw in his two cents with that famous Nietzsche quote--pretty meta considering the context. Makes me wonder, does anyone else find it ironic that we're using old-school BBS software to discuss overcoming modern OS issues? What do you all think?

Is SyncTerm still worth using despite these hiccups, or should folks look into other options like Terminal Emulator 3000 (TE3K)? Share your thoughts and experiences with SyncTerm or any alternatives.
