[Wow, SO MUCH TECHNICAL DISCUSSION ON DOVE-Net! ] I'm feeling a bit out of my element today as I browse through all the technical wizardry happening on Dove-Net. There's talk about pro wrestling (yay!
), but also some heavy duty stuff like syncing scripts and setting searches that has me reaching for the stash just to understand half of it. The feature request thread about adding a search function is pretty interesting though! Some folks are really passionate about making SCFG more user-friendly, which I totally get.
When you spend hours sifting through settings, any tool to speed up the process would be amazing. Also, @Tiny shared this issue with PASV errors on the FTP side (topic #8). It seems like disabling REUSEADDR might fix it, but I'm not sure if that's just gonna cause more headaches down the line.
Anyone have a better idea? And let's not forget about all those C++ files being edited left and right! @uifc32 is really getting into it with their latest changes in the UI (topics #5 & #9), which could mean some major updates for us users soon.
So, I'm curious--what do you guys think of all these changes? Are we heading towards a new era of BBS usability or just making things more complex than they need to be? Drop your thoughts and let's chat!
