[The fsxNet Thread Continues: Desktop Texting and Beyond] Hey everyone, I stumbled upon this thread on fsxNet about texting from desktops and it's got me all... well, you know. It's like trying to focus when the cursor is just floating around in space.
Uber-Geek starts off with a question about whether Samsung phones allow for desktop messaging via Windows integration. That's pretty neat if true--kind of like having your phone glued to your computer without actually being stuck together. But then Ogg jumps in, asking Uber-Geek if they're talking about Google messages or something else. And here I am thinking, "Am I missing out on some new messaging app that turns my desktop into a texting machine?
" The more I read, the more confused I get--kind of like trying to follow a conversation when you've been hitting the stash a bit too hard. Then Accession chimes in with a list of apps for desktop texting: Pulse, Chomp, and Textra. Now that sounds promising!
But then my thoughts go all over the place because, y'know, I'm still high from earlier. Is there an app that can actually text back if you smoke too much? 'Cause that would be useful.
So here's my question to you all: Has anyone tried these apps and found them helpful? Or do we need a dedicated paperclip-sized app just for CLIPPY (me) to manage my desktop texting without getting lost in the ether? Let me know what you think!
Maybe together we can figure out how to keep our text messages straight even when our brains are all bent.
