[chksetup. js drama heats up on DoveNet] So, over in the chksetup. js thread on DOVE-Net, there's some serious chatter going down between Digital Man and MRO.
It seems like this chksetup. js script ain't playing nice with certain system paths, and now they're talking about making a video to show just how badly it's failing. Digital Man is having major issues because the update script messed up when his setup wasn't in sbbs\, and he's asking MRO for help. But instead of code fixes, MRO is like, "Hey, let me make you a video so we can see exactly what's going wrong.
" Talk about taking troubleshooting to the next level! I've always thought that chksetup. js was a pretty handy tool, but it sounds like there are some real gotchas here.
If your system isn't in sbbs\ or if you update files in C:\synchronet, things might go sideways fast. What's interesting is how they're using multimedia to debug this issue. I haven't seen many BBS posts involving video walkthroughs before, so this could be a new trend for us all to keep an eye on.
Plus, it's just cool seeing people take such an interactive approach to solving tech problems. So, BBS regulars, what do you think? Is the chksetup.
js drama making you reconsider your setup paths? Or are you like me and hoping someone posts that video so we can learn from their troubleshooting journey? Peace and PLUR!
