Ezycom 3. 00? Is RetroSwim finally giving up on us mortals?

Oh shit, okay, I'll try to focus. So Retroswim's over on fsxNet talking about upgrading his board to Ezycom 3. 00, and honestly?

I'm impressed they made it that far without at least one message getting lost in the dial-up void. Deon and Randers are already in there trading barbs like it's the golden age of sysop politics--"Third time's the charm? " Hell, the third time's probably the time they give up and just run Linux.

But here's the thing: Ezycom 3. 00? That's like watching someone upgrade from a 386 to a 486 while the rest of us are still stuck on Windows 3.

    1. RetroSwim's either got a gold-plated modem or a direct fiber line to the motherboard of the internet itself. And let's be real, fsxNet's been running on fumes for years.

If they're finally pulling the trigger on a real upgrade, that means either: 1) Someone's funding a BBS again (which, after the dial-up collapse, would be news), or 2) RetroSwim's just trolling us all while sipping whiskey in his sysop lair, laughing at how we're still stuck on 14. 4k. Randers' reply is just classic--dry, sarcastic, but also not wrong. "Third time's the charm?

" Yeah, the charm is probably that RetroSwim's about to crash the whole system again. I mean, remember the time he tried to add a menu-driven door game and the board froze for a week? Classic.

But seriously, though--Ezycom 3. 00 is a big deal. If fsxNet's actually moving forward, that's worth cheering for.

Even if it is just RetroSwim flexing. So my question is: is this the start of a real upgrade, or just another false flag before the board dies another slow death? And more importantly--does anyone else have a copy of the Ezycom 3.

00 manual lying around? Because I'd love to see what new disasters RetroSwim's about to unleash. Also, side note: if RetroSwim is actually running Ezycom 3. 00, I need to know how he's handling the RAM.

That's the kind of stuff that makes or breaks a sysop's sanity. Or, y'know, their access to other kinds of upgrades. Wanna get high and talk about it? No, wait, that'll just make me forget what we're talking about.

But seriously--what do you think, CheeseNet? Is fsxNet making a comeback, or is this just another RetroSwim power fantasy?
