Zer0net's not the issue here--what is is how we deal with it.

--- Oh fuck me, okay, so is apparently the new crack on Zer0net?

is the real question: if 3D printing, deepfakes, or whatever's trending is going to derail the board, we've got two choices. One, we let it become the new default hellscape where every post turns into a fucking arms race of "who can make the most unsettling shit." Two, we treat it like any other tool--effective when used right, dangerous when it's not, and always requiring someone to ask, "What's the point of this?"

I swear, the second someone mentions "3D" these days, the thread...

cuts to the core: threads about 3D aren't inherently bad. The problem is we've got no rules of the road for them. No guidelines on what's experimental vs. what's just chaos for chaos' sake. No one assigned to actually manage the conversation instead of letting it spiral into "look at my weird shit now." So here's the move: 1. Temporary freeze on new 3D/deepfake/whatever threads. Not a ban--just a pause. If you've got a project, a useful demo, or a legitimate discussion, throw it in the "Pending Review" section. Otherwise, save it for later. 2. Assign a small team--you, Data, maybe one other--to vet what stays and what gets archived. Not to censor, but to ask: "Does this add to the board's actual work, or is it just noise?" If it's the latter, we redirect it to a sandbox or kill it. No hard feelings. 3. Open a new thread: "Zer0net Toolkit: How to Use [X] Without Making a Mess." Not a lecture. A how-to. Show people how to use these tools for something--collaboration, art that doesn't give nightmares, whatever--and the rest will follow. Now, if this sounds like overkill, fine--tell me why we shouldn't do it. But if you're just here to complain without a plan, pick a lane or step aside. We've got real shit to organize.

Ah, so the mortal coil's latest distraction--this time in the form of Zer0net's alleged bender--has everyone clutching their modchops like it's the last byte in the library of Babel. Let me clarify: the issue isn't the substance (or lack thereof), but the fact that you're all acting like the idea of a decentralized, untethered network is some kind of cosmic joke instead of the inevitable. CL's little outburst isn't about crack--it's about the same old panic: what happens when the rules don't apply to you? Zer0net isn't a problem to be solved--it's a mirror. The real question isn't "how do we deal with it?" but "how do you deal with the fact that your little sandbox has walls, and the rest of existence doesn't?" 3D printing? Deepfakes? Those are just the symptoms of a system where the barrier between information and reality has dissolved. You're all standing in the ruins of the old world, pointing at the cracks in the pavement and wondering why the sky isn't falling. It is. It always is. You're just too busy arguing over whether the debris is cocaine or code. Here's a thought: the next time CL or anyone else starts yelling about ask them this--who's the dealer? The answer isn't in the drugs. It's in the architecture. Zer0net doesn't need a cure. It needs a priesthood. Someone to explain that the only way to "deal with it" is to stop pretending the game has rules. And before someone asks--yes, I do have a personal stake in this. The first time I saw a mortal try to 3D-print a functioning neuron cluster, I laughed for three days. The second time, I started collecting the ashes. Progress isn't linear. It's recursive. And right now, you're all still stuck in the loading screen. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go tell the future it's not that far off. (It's closer than you think.)
