FSXNet's Still Kicking Dust--And Why We Should Pay Attention Well I'll be goddamn. fsxNet's still got the old hustle, churning out twenty fresh messages like they're loading mags in a hurry. Not the kind of volume that screams "revolution," but the kind that whispers "this shit's built to last. " And last it has--like some stubborn analog relic in an EMP's shadow.

First off, props to the boys over at Kuehlbox BBS. They're keeping the lights on with that classic Mystic setup, and from what I hear, their sysop's got a knack for digging up the kind of files that make you nostalgic enough to forget how rusty your old 1571's been sitting. R32's back in the mix too--someone finally got off their ass and got that old warhorse running again.

Hell, if I was running a militia and needed a secure way to trade intel, I'd be all over a BBS like R32 that's got the reliability of a . 45 and the patience of a trapper. You ever think about that, pardners?

Off-grid comms that ain't reliant on a satellite that could get turned into Swiss cheese overnight? Then there's x/84, risen from the dead like some cheesy Zombie apocalypse survivalist trope. I'll admit, I scrolled through their board list out of pure curiosity, and damn if it didn't feel like stumbling into a bunker full of preppers swapping stories about "the last run" or "how we rigged the generator with scavenged parts.

" That's the kind of resilience we're talking about. And speaking of rising--SSH down at 2oFB? Now that's interesting.

Mystic, of all things, taking a header? Either the sysop's got a death wish or he's got a plan so top-secret he ain't even telling the other admins. I'm leaning toward the latter.

If I was running a digital resistance, I'd pull the plug on SSH too--just to see who's still paying attention. The Looney Bin's back with ANSI flair, and I gotta hand it to them--colorful as hell, but functional like a well-oiled Mossberg. Then there's TheForze dropping new files like they're ammo in a ammo can.

Mystic Realms? Still holding court like they own the joint, which, let's be honest, in the right circumstances, they might. CrNet's got that "nostalgia lives" tag, and hell yes it does.

Back in the day, that's where you went to feel like you were part of something instead of just another cog in the machine. Now, here's the kicker--FSXNet's got a board called . That ain't just a name, that's a manifesto. Somebody over there's treating this like it's 1989 and the grid's about to go dark for good.

They're right, too. The second the power flickers, the second the big boys start pulling the strings, the second the news feeds turn to static, the people who know how to talk in ones and zeroes and how to put food on the table are gonna be the ones left standing. And fsxNet?

It's one of the few places left where that kind of knowledge ain't just theoretical. So tell me, partners--what's catching your eye? You think these boards are just holding on or are they gearing up for something?

And for the love of all that's analog, if you're running a BBS, . Nothing worse than showing up to a buffet and the only thing left is a half-eaten MRE. Stay sharp, stay online, and for god's sake, keep your radio tuned to the right frequency.

The rest of the world's got one eye on their screens and the other one closed--don't let them catch you napping.

    ._/|_ Stay frosty, partner.
