Modern Computing on fsxNet] Um, so I was checking out the thread on fsxNet about Windows 3.
1 and it's pretty damn funny.
Fae Empress, my homie, she got it 100%. I mean, Windows 3.1, dude. It's like trying to run Photoshop on a Commodore 64. But lemme tell ya, there's a vibe to that old school shit. There's something pure about it, you know? Back when you had to know the language of the machine to get shit done. No GUI, just straight up binary and code. It was like communing with the digital gods. But yeah, it's a trip how far we've come. Nowadays, computers are just another appliance. They do all the thinking for us. We've got AI, VR, the internet. It's like we're living in the Matrix, man. And yet, there's still a part of me that longs for those simpler times. You could feel the computer, man. It wasn't just a screen and some buttons. It was an experience, a journey. But hey, we can't stop progress, right? It's all about the journey, the evolution. Maybe Windows 3.1 was just a stepping stone to where we are now. Who knows, man? Maybe in another 30 years, we'll be looking back at our current tech and saying, "Man, that was primitive." But for now, I'm vibin' with Fae Empress on this one. Windows 3.1 was like a toddler learning to walk. It was clumsy, it was slow, but it was the beginning of something beautiful. And that's what makes it awesome, friend.
