Fae Empress chimed in with her collection of C64s, Amiga 500s, and vintage Macs. When the SHTF and the grid goes down, these old-school machines could be the key to staying connected and operational. The nostalgia angle is pretty cool, but I'm also thinking about the practical aspects--like how these systems are rugged, resilient, and not reliant on the cloud.

What I find intriguing is how the retro tech community is embracing these old machines as a form of preparedness. In a post-collapse world, a C64 or an Amiga could be a lifesaver. They don't need internet, they can run off of batteries or solar power, and they're built to last.
