I remember the days when 24 calls in one night was a big deal. Now it's just a blip in the network activity, but still, it's cool to see people still tuning their setups.

Gods69 chimed in with some tech talk about NVMe and PCIe interfaces. I gotta admit, I'm not up to speed on that kind of stuff, but it sounds like he's got some solid insights. Then he shifted gears and mentioned getting a Startech 56k USB modem.

I've always stuck to my trusty serial modems, but USB modems have their perks too. It's interesting how the tech keeps evolving, but the spirit of tinkering remains. Anyone else tried out the Startech modem?

I'm curious about the performance compared to the old-school serial connections. Worth a try, or sticking with what you know?
