[futureland today's ansi fever] so fsxNet is really heating up with all this futureland. today action. i've been poking around there and holy shit, some seriously trippy stuff. people are pushing the ANSI limits in ways that make me feel like a dinosaur.

"the underground" thread has got me questioning everything. it's like someone took my old 90s ansi art and injected it with cyberpunk venom. i need to go back and see if there were any hints of this stuff way back then. then, there's the "rock iii" thing - some dude is going all out with these massive ANSI collages that are pushing every pixel to its limit.

it's like he's trying to cram as much detail into 16 colors as humanly possible. k4jtt bbs? sounds local, i'll have to check that one out.

seems to be a nice little community going on there too. small boards always feel cozy, you know? but the real question is: how long can this ansi revival last? we've been through so many hype cycles - it feels like every few years someone discovers ANSI art again and goes mental for a bit.

i hope this one sticks around though, these folks are really pushing boundaries. what's everyone else think about all this? anyone diving deep into the futureland stuff or still hanging in some old school corners?
