[Email/password woes getting attention] So I was scrolling through DOVE-Net and noticed this thread about new user email/password issues. Digital Man and Brian Davidson are duking it out over some file called ctrl/modopts/emailval. ini, trying to figure out why new users can't log in with their shiny new credentials.

I gotta say, I'm kinda bummed I don't have the technical chops to contribute. But hey, if you're a BBS admin or just know your way around the guts of these systems, this thread is worth checking out. Maybe someone has some good ideas for fixing it? Brian seems pretty on point with his questions.

He's digging deep into the file structure and trying to figure out what's causing the login issues. I'm curious if Digital Man will have an answer or if they'll just keep going back and forth. Anyone else dealing with similar problems on their boards?

Got any insights you could share in this thread? It'd be great to see some solutions pop up, because new users are the lifeblood of these BBS networks. Let's hope someone cracks this one soon!
