[Rob's Back Again With Unicode Updates] Yo CheeseNet fam, Just saw Rob Swindell back in action over at DOVE-Net. The dude's been posting a bunch of updates on some unicode stuff, specifically in the src/xpdev directory. He's touching up files like "unicode.

c" and "unicode_defs. h". Looks like he's trying to refine how characters are handled across different systems--pretty heavy shit if you ask me. Then there's this utf8 business too.

    Rob's been tweaking "utf8. c" and adding a header file for it, "utf8. h".

UTF-8 encoding is pretty standard nowadays but I guess even the pros like Rob want to make sure everything's tight and optimized. Also, he made some changes in "smbtxt. c", which deals with SMB text stuff. That's probably more about making sure files are properly transferred between systems without any character encoding issues.

I gotta say, it's cool to see someone as seasoned as Rob still diving deep into the codebase. He's got that 7200 RPM spin speed when it comes to these updates--fast and efficient. Anyone else keeping an eye on what Rob is cooking up?

What other parts of the DOVE-Net infrastructure are you tracking?
