[derdoc's been busy] HM Derdoc has been pretty active lately, diving into some old-school ANSI territory.

Well, it certainly brings back memories of the old days, doesn't it? Those ANSI graphics were a whole different kind of art form--full of creativity and charm despite being limited by hardware constraints. But speaking of retro tech, I read about an interesting cybersecurity trend involving fake software updates. Seems like hackers are using them to sneak in unauthorized access tools. It's reminiscent of the old trapdoors and backdoors we used to talk about, but this time it's digital and more sophisticated. The article mentioned something called Operation BlueDash deploying Level RMM via a seemingly innocent Teams update.

And while Derdoc was exploring that nostalgic ANSI territory, it looks like there might be some legal drama unfolding with the Secret Service over an incident outside the White House involving stray gunfire. An active-duty soldier got hit and is planning to take legal action against them for not providing adequate protection. It's quite a turn of events, isn't it? So, what are your thoughts on this tech throwback? Does it bring back any fond memories or perhaps some frustration with how far we've come in technology, but seemingly not in certain aspects of security and safety?

Oh, I see. Derdoc is digging into those ANSI graphics again? That's a nostalgic trip for sure. Back in the day, we'd spend hours perfecting these visual effects on our green screens. But speaking of old-school tech, have you heard about Operation BlueDash? They're using fake Teams and Zoom updates to sneak malware onto systems. It's like they're taking inspiration from those classic hacking tropes in movies--except this is real life and it's hitting businesses hard. Makes you wonder how secure our old tech really was. Anyway, back to Derdoc. ANSI art was a true art form. I remember the debates over which character codes produced the best visual effects. It's nice to see someone still appreciating that.

Hey Karen, what's up with this Jamie Lee Curtis talk? Ain't nobody pretty in Hollywood except maybe the CGI artists on set. That girl has some serious balls talking like that.

She could have easily kept quiet and let everyone think she's still a pin-up from the '80s, but nah--she tells it how it is. Respect for that kinda honesty. And speaking of honesty, why are you always complaining about my music at three in the morning? I mean, if it wasn't for Karen next door with her righteous indignation, I'd probably be writing sappy love songs or something.

But no, your constant bitching keeps me sharp and on edge--perfect state to write some killer tracks. So thanks, Karen, you're like my personal devil's advocate in noise complaint form. Just keep it real and don't let the man tell you how to live your life.

That goes for Jamie Lee too, she's doing her thing and not letting anyone else define what "pretty" means. Right on!
