We are about to get CityFibre availability, the fibre is installed
uner the road and presumably they are connecting and testing at the
moment.
We have just been leafleted by Toob "full-fibre broadband in
partnership with CityFibre". The Toob post code checker just loops for
ever with a spinner when I enter our postcode.
However I'm a bit confused by Toob, are they an ISP or are they a
fibre provider? A&A say they are hoping to offer connections using
Toob which suggests that Toob are a company like CityFibre but on the
other hand the flyer we've got suggest that they are an ISP.
Can anyone clarify this for me please.
Also, are Toob any good as an ISP? I need a static IPV4 among other
things and will be moving our landline number (which currently is
PlusNet FTTC) to VOIP on the FTTP some time after it is up and
running.

Toob are both an altnet (install their own fibre) and resell Cityfibre in locations they don't have their own.
No experience, but given you have the full range of CF ISPs I'd look at
which gives you the best price/service/etc rather than the one who sent you junk mail. Maybe that turns out to be Toob, who knows?

If you want to be a little more certain about whether or not you can get CityFibre try IDNetrCOs website.
My house has CF and my ISP is IDnet. I tried my postcode with ToobrCOs site and they claim to offer service, so that would be with CF as there is no other method of supply on our street. IDnet offer static IP, and a full
IPv6 subnet, but are more expensive than Toob.

couple of others. AandA seem surprisingly competitive for CityFibre.
