I have seen comments here that the UKFREETV website is no longer updated
but not needed to use it for ages.

Our TV here is off after the storm so had a look to see what was off.
The BBC site is OK for checking your own location but just tells you
that your TV is off which I already know but I was interested to see if
the parent transmitter was off also.

Cow Hill obviously goes off if there is a mains failure and there were
many of them but I could see that the DAB was still on.

But you have to have a postcode to find out on the BBC website so I used https://gridreferencefinder.com/ to get a random address in Oban and
then checked that which confirmed Torosay was off.

UKFREETV should really drop the "This transmitter has no current
    reported problems" messages as misleading.

    Torosay still off

Oban - Craignure been off all day and they hope to get across around
    lunchtime on Sunday.

    Sunday 5 October

Due to continuing adverse weather as a result of Storm Amy, the
    following sailings are cancelled:

    Depart Craignure - 09:30, 11:05

    Depart Oban - 09:55, 11:25

Service is expected to resume with the 12:15 sailing departing Oban.

Lochaline - Fishnish are going to try to get across at 14:25

    Saturday 4 October

Due to adverse weather, this service is liable to disruption or
    cancellation at short notice.

As a result of storm damage from storm Amy, please be aware that there
is a tree blocking the A884 1 mile from Lochaline.

Due to connectivity issues resulting from Storm Amy power cuts,
ticketing facilities are currently unavailable for this route. We will
update once more information is available.

MV Lochinvar will attempt the 14:25 sailing from Lochaline .

Due to adverse weather berthing at Fishnish is not guaranteed.

    Will be grateful for iPlayer!
