It occurs to me that, when many of Australia's players started out, it
was long enough ago that they would have been playing less in franchise
T20 competitions around the world and relatively more red ball and 50-
over cricket. That might mean that they don't have such a strong
instinct to play shots that appear to be rash given the match situation.

Not quite because australia always played "sensible cricket" depending
on the situation in tests compared to ultra aggressive bazball style of England.
Travis Head, Cameron Green, Cummins, Hazlewood, Starc in the current
team and Warner, Stoinis, Maxwell, Smith in the past all played T20 franchise cricket.
