    I dare say that there seemed to be little acknowledgment by the cyclist
    that his rCOhigh impact crashrCO with a runner was caused in part because of what appears to be his speed at the time and his failure to anticipate a
    runner stepping into the cycle lane due to the narrowness of the adjacent pedestrian path that was being used by the runners.

    It seems possible that a lack of 1.5m of clearance from the runners may
    also have contributed to the crash.

    His claim that "It's disappointing the PB is worth more than stopping" is laughable when considered against the fact that pedestrians in Royal Parks
    have been killed by cyclists doing PBs on Strava segments.
