RT is still saying that Amber is Charlotte Jordon, but I prefer to
believe the BBC's listing in this case.

I must say that I would not have noticed the change if I wasn't paying attention to the cast list. Olivia did very well in taking over,
especially as the change was from one week to the next. Previous changes

The change appears to have happened at the same time as her demeanour

up to life's realities and is no longer in a "bubble" insulated from her
own family and her beloved. I think this has helped the change in best
friend as the character has realised that there are real life obstacles
to be surmounted and that she lacks close friends. We have not heard
her interact recently with Chelsea (or Brad) and the character must at
times feel lonely. George needs help and it is a pity that Bodge Farm
took the wrong decisions over cover for Tom's intended absence as that
would have helped him and I fail to see why the Church could not impress
on the congregation to find a way of turning another cheek rather than allowing George to be thrown to the wolves, along with the shop.

I'm hoping that George will be taken on to assist on the Mulligan Farm.

I'm not sure why he isn't working on his family's farm, though. He was

Other than the turkeys, and Ed's (is it Ed?) pedigree sheep, what actual farming do the Grundys do?

We knew that Will had lent him -u500 at the time - it was not news. Both parties are being dishonest. Amber has been lying about her parents and George about the money. Yes she was wrong to voice her doubts but sadly
soap writers do it all the time. Amber is not that worried about her
parents - what she wants and has not told George is the LoLo wedding.
David and Eddie rub along - Eddie must know they are struggling so why
has he not asked David to do something for George, after all David and
Ruth are not that close to Alice to worry about her feelings and indeed
I suspect Alice would prefer George to get back on track as she knows
    about second chances.

I've read through your comments several times but I still can't agree
with them. I just don't think people are so mechanistic. Maybe it is
different in politics or big business but in village life? I just
can't see David and Ruth waiving their feelings (or having very few
feelings in the first place) just because the victim is distant by a
couple of branches of the family tree or lives further down the road.

Further, the only track that I believe Alice wants to see George on is
the one that leads out of Ambridge.

Having returned from Paphos I might remind you that Alice was horrified
