I am inclined to wonder who in the UK government might genuinely think
that any Palestinian advocacy group could seriously be considered a
    terrorist organisation.
    Play:
    --=--

Bust-a-Move Bash (Wii) - What a stupid idea this was. It's exhausting to
use the Wiimote motion controls to move the little ball-launcher angle
aiming thing around instead of an analogue joystick. I didn't make it
through three rounds before it felt like I was on the way to some kind
of elaborate sports injury. Back in the case it goes.

Namco Museum Remix (Wii) - Where in the hell are all my nunchucks? I've
gone and ordered a pair, which means that the ones I'm missing will turn
up unexpected. I was able to play with a third-party wireless nunchuck
(that doesn't really work, but that's another story) and I suddenly
remembered that the reason I hadn't bought this disc before was that the
game was subject to unusually harsh reviews. Loading times were
considered terrible and the reimagined classic arcade games were
something less than impressive, and even now 15 years later that's all
    still true.

Panzer General (3DO) - I thought for sure I had this disc, but it turns
out that I own it only on the Playstation (and that there are a handful
of SRPG titles on 3DO that are marginally comparable). Mostly I used
this game as an excuse to redeploy the bulletproof FZ-10 console, but
it's still great fun to relive some of those old tabletop wargame
experiences in an electronic format where I'm grateful that no rules
arguments are going to break out unexpectedly.

Gamecubes (GC) - I have here eight Gamecube units in various states of disrepair. Five of them are actually operational, including one that has
a nasty war wound chip in its plastic housing. The remaining three have optical drive issues that I'm not really motivated to pursue fixing, and
I'm tempted to do serial port-based modding just because that's what's
next for them in any other hands. I also happen to have four Gameboy
Player peripherals that are all in perfect working order, which is kind
of discouraging because I only have three Gameboy Player discs and now
I'm compulsively shopping for a fourth one just to have it.

    Want:
    --=--

More 3DO games - I've made a mess of my gaming area again by moving all
the boxes around so I could get to the giant crate of 3DO games, most of
which are lovely examples still in the original packaging. The original, ten-inch tall cardboard packaging that's pointless to display and
impossible to shelve in any way. There are some notable gaps in the
collection and I'm sort of annoyed with myself for not picking up some
of the more interesting titles along the way in favour of the generic
shooters and flight-sim things that otherwise cluttered the whole of the library.

    Bin:

    Nothing gaming-related.

-KKC, who didn't even make time to tell you about the Zumba games.

Dying Light (PC) - said to be the Definitive Edition with The
Following. It certainly seems to be a very DLC-stuffed release, for
    better or worse.

So, it's open-world zombie survival stuff originally dating from 2015 apparently. I feel like it's a slightly clunky game in some ways, but
not bad so far - it's a bit Assassin's Creed, a bit Mirror's Edge, and
a bit Minecraft. Lots of playing floor-is-lava, doing first-person
parkour (albeit rather slowly/awkwardly), wanting to be indoors at
night to avoid scary baddies... and also crafting. I'm hoping for the
combat to get a bit more combative at some point though, because for
now the emphasis is squarely on being very weak and standoffish while
having hilariously crap gear needing constant upkeep or replacement,
which is already getting a bit tedious.

Presumably such chips were usually found in nice ceramic packages.

    Nothing.

    Bin:

Dying Light having neither a scale option nor any obvious support for
the lowest resolution modes. Though it does run at a fairly bearable
25-30 fps on my N100 at 720p, at least.
