Fifteen percent? One analyst is saying that the deal is written in chalk
on the sidewalk and that either side could simply toss it all away at
any time for any reason. I wish the EU had done what Japan did and said
'Nah brah, we're gonna wait you out" instead of rushing to an
    unsatisfying conclusion.

    Play:

Phantasy Star Online 1+2 Plus (GC) - Stupid game is pulling a Skyrim on
me. I was literally falling asleep on a run through the Ruins, being
slightly overpowered for the standard enemies but not quite strong
enough for the final boss encounter. What happens in the big crater room
but that I pick up an Amplifier of Red, a rare item used to craft a spell-enhancing defensive equipment item. I've genuinely never seen one
before and it's uncommon enough that you have some players complaining
that they play thousands of hours and never seem to get the RNG to drop
one. Crafting is such a faff in PSO because for some things you have to
make a special point of running a hunter mission where you encounter an
NPC once, and then you never get to see them again in any other context.

Phantasy Star Online v2 (DC) - My son is playing! He asked to play with
only a minimum of assistance, and was majorly frustrated to learn that
he couldn't beat the initial Dragon boss whilst only a level 3 Hunter. I explained to him that he needed to be stronger in order to be
successful, and he got his very first exposure to RPG stats and what
they mean. He's now enthralled with the idea of the RPG gameplay loop,
where playing earns experience to raise stats so that you can make
    playing easier.

    Want:

A Steam Deck? (PC) - What I really want is handheld PSO, as originally
stated in the 16 March PWB post of 2009. It is sort of absurd that the original game didn't get a 3DS or a Vita port, but I also suspect that
Sonic Team didn't really get a say in being able to sustain the original
game past its shelf life. Sega's not Ubisoft, after all

    Bin:

    Nothing gaming-related.

Amplitude (PS3) - had a go at all the main tracks on Expert
individually (aside from a bonus one I still need to unlock somewhen).
I cleared most of them in fairly mediocre fashion, but somehow I
couldn't seem to make it through a couple of them at all. I could
partly blame this on my "new PS3" not running as smoothly as I'd like,
but probably it's more that my dexterity needs a reroll. :-)

That sounds preferable to the RPG gameplay loop in some of the later
missions of Driver: Parallel Lines, at least.

    Want:

To pluck something from my PC backlog, though disk space is a bit
tight on the SSD (as ever) so probably that means moving games around
or dropping them. As much as I like puzzlers, I could live without the space-clearing minigame most game installs tend to come bundled with.

    Nothing.
