Kerbal Space Program (Linux) - I was a bit surprised that I didn't
have any instances of my mining runabout thingy already in orbit
somewhere on this, so I thought I'd launch one with the vague plan of
sending Jeb on a tour of the places that it can actually get to and
land on. Which isn't everywhere, but most moons with low gravity at
least. Whether I ever actually bother doing that is another matter -
but I did get to Minmus, land, refuel, and get back into orbit.
One of the characters is the literal divine creator of the universe,
and he's an arrogant prick who needs to learn a little humility
whilst stuck in a mortal body. That's an excellent hook to hang all
the other character development on.
Like a biblical conceit from his biblical conceit. :-)

Not remembering that the launcher I'd made for said runabout on this
version of KSP was very wobbly, to the point that it had to be
launched almost vertically through the atmosphere and (probably due to
needing more struts really) still came close to snapping in two on the
way to orbit, bending alarmingly in the middle.
Only spotting an old note I'd made for myself about that issue after
doing the precarious launch. "Things get pretty bendy, and sometimes
things go boom on the way, which is not great." You don't say.
