• Replacement handles for workmate lookalike

One of my faithful workmate lookalikes has got its handles broken from
being banged around on the back of the boat.

They are just little plastic mouldings pinned onto the ends of the
shafts that move the workmate together or apart. Look at any workmate
and it's obvious what they are.

The shafts are just over 10mm, 10.3 or 10.4 if my calipers aren't
    telling fibs.

Does anyone have any idea where I might get replacements of some sort
that don't cost an arm and a leg. A simple way of making something
suitable would be OK too (and DIY).

How close to an actual B&D Workmate are they?

I realise space for a 3D printer on a boat is likely to be too much of a premium, but you could make them while at home

When my B&D handles broke many years ago, I was able to buy complete new handles for not very much from a local B&D repair shop (not sure there
*are* any these days!) They were ok but not as good as the orininals
because they had plastic cranks rather than aluminium.

Yes, I'm back and forth quite a lot so making something at home isn't
an issue. I don't have a 3-D printer yet but this might be a good
    excuse. :--

Loads of places selling spares for workmates. Other than Amazon, post & packing is likely to be the killer.
