  • Connecting Bluetooth Headphones to iPhone

    I'm trying to connect some Sony 1000MX4 headphones to the Sony iPhone app, and not getting anywhere.

    * They connect to the iphone's bluetooth fine, but not the app. When trying to pair to the app they're detected briefly, but then the app goes back to the registration screen. And gets stuck in that loop.

    * Some other Sony headphones I have pair fine, and the 1000MX4s link to the
    app on a 10 year old Android phone/app straight away.

    * I've tried re-initialising the headphones, 'forgeting the device' on the iphone, and a variety of web-based workarounds. it's not an uncommon problem
    it seems.

    Any ideas?!

    I have several Sony headphones. The Sony app definitely is flaky sometimes. I seem to recall that turning on the iPhone wi-fi helps the Sony app connect the first time. I have no idea why.
