Glad to be back in this great group.
Although Usenet seems to be dying out for me, I've met some good, serious people here, all willing to help.

    Greetings to all,
    Matt.

    PD:
And thanks to USENET server for their affordable pricing and excellent
    customer support.

Yeah. That's what Usenet used to be all about. That and the loons

Which is news we really, really need to know, of course.

I have problems but you guys probably can't help with the type of
    issues I suffer with.

When I go into a nice shop, sometimes the nice wandering-about
shop-girls will ask me "Can I help you?" I mostly thank them and tell
    them "no".

"Hi, do you need any help?", however is a question I am *tempted* to
answer with the truth. But I don't. It's not their job and it's not
their area of expertise. Also, I don't want to crush their nice day.
They are so perky, nice, innocent and lovely that telling them what I
need help with would be like kicking a kitten. I know that their
personality could just be the interface they are trained to display to
make customers feel good and so induce us to buy stuff so we make them
happy but even so it's a shame to dump on them my miseries. So I never
do. I spread joy and happiness, love and grace wherever I go. [1]

"Do you need anything?" Oh, Girl, *yes* I so very, very do. Could we
start with an F.T.L. Starship? Preferably one with a *nice* boxed-up pseudo-personality who will do the maths with me?

"Hi, are you buying or browsing?" Now, that one I *can* answer.
Mainly, in general, unless I have a specific need in mind, I'm
browsing to find out if any of your goodies fit my current mood and if
I'm going to buy a thingy.

I like these newsgroups because you guys *expect* me to have issues
and you are ever so willing to help me to resolve them. You *like*
    helping. Thank you.

    Hi John!

It wasn't my intention to promote the server, quite the opposite, to share my experience, since I'd been with the same company for many years without any problems.

I had stopped using Usenet because there was little to nothing left to justify what I was paying for the service, but I received a special offer at a very
low price and decided to return.

    Regards.

I've been using eternal-september.org for a number of years now. It is essentially f.o.c. but accepts donations. Its admin, "Ray Banana" is
very helpful too. But if you're happy with your special deal then I'm
not suggesting you change but you could always create a e-s account as
