• Old iOS device as webcam for macOS

    From D.M. Procida@daniele-at-vurt-dot-org@invalid.com to uk.comp.sys.mac on Fri Nov 21 20:09:37 2025

    Old iOS device is an iPhone running iOS 10. It doesn't need wireless connectivity, USB will be just fine.

    But, it does need to be pickable as a camera, in web and other video conferencing application.

    Suggestions?

    I don't use it very much, but it would be good if it worked with that too.

    Looks like it won't work with iOS 10.

    Check the link for "minimum system requirements". Which is this:

    <https://support.apple.com/en-us/108046#camera1>

    But it does work wirelessly if you meet all the requirements.

    I was going to suggest rCLCamo camerarCY but that needs iOS 15 and macOS 12.3.
