Perhaps somebody here can help?
I live in the UK. I have a Humax digital TV receiver+recorder.
When set to record a TV programme, it normally does so correctly. The recording starts several seconds before the programme is broadcast and continues often for many seconds after the programme completes - so
there may be adverts before and after.
If the programme broadcast is delayed, the programme is recorded correctly.
But, perhaps 1 time in 20, the recording stops a minute or two before
the end of the programme. This is irrespective of whether the programme
is broadcast at its scheduled time, or is delayed. The problem occurs
equally across all broadcasters, BBC, ITV, or whoever.
If I start a recording while watching the programme, normally the
recording continues correctly until the end of the programme. But the
same early cut-off sometimes occurs.
So can anybody suggest whether this is a fault in the Humax recorder, or
a fault in the broadcast of the Programme Delivery Information, please?
My suspicion is the latter, so replacing the recorder won't have any effect.
TIA
