• Preview app problem

I have been trying to annotate a PDF document in Preview. I'm
reconciling my bank statement and I "strikethrough" each entry as I go
along. Since updating to Tahoe 26.0.1, it will not let me do it. Anyone
    else come across this problem?

No problem here. I selected a line of text by dragging over it using
the touchpad on my MBP, then Tools -> Annotate -> Strike Through Text

Further trials show it happens with PDFs from one particular
organisation (TSB) that I've never had problems with before.
Experimented with a statement from earlier that I had already reconciled
    and it won't work now.

Tried some PDFs from some other sources and it works fine. I am now
    totally confused!

That sounds like Apple now respecting some metadata in the PDF (i.e. if TSB
doesn't want the file changing in any way).

I wonder if some 3rd party app such as ExifTool could help here?

I'll have a play. Ended up printing it out and using a pen to tick off
    the entries!

Odd thing is I had almost the reverse problem with Nationwide
statements. For a longtime the annotation was erratic then all of a
sudden they came good and now work perfectly.
