• Option-drag issue

Is this normal..?? I can't option-drag a file from within an iCloud Drive folder to a folder on the desktop. Dragging to the Desktop itself is fine, as is dragging a file -not- in a folder, but if I try dragging a file from an iCloud folder into a Desktop folder I get the 'Do you really want to remove this file...' alert. Was it always like this? I'm on Sequoia latest.

I'm using Tahoe 26.0.1. I've found that I need to press Option first
and then, having selected the file whilst still pressing the Option key,
drag it to the Desktop with my MBP's trackpad. Selecting the file first
and then trying to select and then drag with the Option key doesn't work.

Happens here whichever way I do it - select the file then press option, or press option then select the file.

Specifically though this is dragging into a folder on the desktop, not on to the desktop itself.

Sorry misunderstood. However I was still able to option drap and drop
into a folder I created just now on my Desktop.

You're right - it works with a new folder.... but doesn't if there's a file already in there! Weird.

Or indeed if it -had- another file in there. I removed the other file so the folder was empty and tried again - and got the warning.

Not a massive issue, just... odd.
