    Does not matter whether one logs on or does not log on with an Apple ID,
    the results should be the same.
    Restricted access or Access denied

    But logging on does give one the opportunity to configure their
    preferences and disable notifications for useless notifications.
    -a- Participation
    -a- Followed discussions
    -a- Upvoting
    -a- Level of participation
    -a- Invitations
    -a- Apple contact via your Apple ID email account

    i.e.
    -aNo need to go fishing when anyone decides your fishing pole might
    provide better results or later suggest looking(linking) elsewhere
