So, obviously my iPhone backs itself up to the cloud regularly but I also do a local backup to a Synology NAS.
This always went flawlessly whenever the phone was plugged into my MacBook. However, the wretched thing fails now as it now requires the passcode every time before it will do the backup.
Is there a work around to avoid this annoying "feature"?

Not that I know. Your local backups are encrypted. I stopped the local
backups years ago and only rely on the iCloud-backup which for my
    purposes is more than enough.
