Science has a video on their list of biggest science breakthroughs in
2025. They include the Dragon Man skull being confirmed as Denisovan
using plague DNA isolated from around the teeth. This is unusual
because the skull was hidden in a well for over half a century and
likely has no DNA left in it's bones.

They also have AI achievements, one of which is ChatGPT getting a gold
medal at the Math Olympiad by solving 5 of the 6 math problems. They
note that solving math problems of that level was thought to be years
away for existing AI.
