The ranges are safe, the Navy has done this multiple times before, no

The horse's ass fool of a California Democrat governor Gavin Newsom, had
a fit claiming thousands of lives are at stake and the federally funded
freeway could not be closed. He was trolled and wrong as usual.
How do you feel now that you've been proven spectacularly wrong?
Launching artillery over civilians is not a safe thing. As we found out.
They've been firing over the freeway for 50+ years according to Democrats. Don't you follow your own politics?
Of course he blamed President Donald Trump for scheduling the event on
the same day as a silly disjointed left-wing protest known as "No
Kings". It's a typical Democrat bullshit show with no focus and a
hundred differing viewpoints on display.
The artillery event was a Trump ego spectacle, as well as for
intimidation of californians.
Most real Californians were fine with it. The complainers and whiners
are typically East Coast transplants. They're the ones who have ruined California.
It made Trump, Vance and Hegseth out to be idjits.
You do know what happened, don't you?
According to the CHP, Trump and Vance made the right call closing the freeway.

Newsom closed I5, not the federales. You share Herr Ubertrumpen's
disdain for native facts.

That's only your inconsequential opinion.

The navy has never fired into Pendleton before?

Marines do not have jurisdiction over I-5. It has to be the state. Camp Pendleton warned the state allowing Newsom to act. I do not know if Pendleton is considerred a bad neighbour.

As far as this post is concerned.
1. Space shots often go from west to east. This is to
take advantage of the Earth's rotation which also goes
from west to east. Therefore a lot of space launches
in southern California may go over ... Phoenix and
Las Vegas.

Again. No. Rockets are not launched to orbit overland from Vandenberg,
or anywhere else on the west coast. Launching over populated areas is a
big no-no.
Vandenberg is only used for launching to low earth orbit. Most LEO satellites want to be in an approximately polar orbit, for maximum
coverage of the earth. Launches from Vandenberg are always to the south
or southeast.
If the trajectory has to be eastward, the launch will be done from
Florida where there is thousands of miles of open ocean in case of major fubarage.
It seems feasible to me that
'big no-no' means that everyone is aware and actually does this.
