Ah, you meant retiring the *match*, not complete
retirement. I now see you were referring to Sinner.

He was ill and could not play. Do you seriously
think Alcaraz and others are clean? Hahah!

Sinner is exactly like all the other top tennis players out there.
None of them is clean and that is all right. We as spectators should

I remember your theory about new generations not caring much about being called out as hypocrites whereas in your generation you said it was a big "touche".

Well, then, if that is so, they don't call out Sinner because they don't want to be seen as people who would say things that would be damaging to anyone's mental health or wellbeing?

    ;)

So generally I think it's same or very similar, the prevailing silence and the reasons behind it.

You have the feeling that going against him would be seen as socially bad taste, judged negatively?

Bottom line is tennis fans want to see the greatest players of all time,
it's purely selfish reasons, plus the likelihood it's such a small dose
not really performance enhancing anyway. Lower ranked players no one
cares about, they need to be more careful as they are expendable.
That's just the way the world works, anyone who doesn't understand this
    can't be too bright imo.

Yes that's part of it. He's been seen as already punished so it borders
on mental cruelty to keep punishing him forever. It's all int the past
and we move on. Plus it would be overkill to kick someone with that
kind of talent out of the game. I'm all for kicking guys like Kyrgios
    out immediately : )
