Speaking to reporters on Air Force One yesterday, the president defended Hegseth, saying he believed his statement rCL100%rCY that he hadnrCOt ordered the second strike.

rCLIrCOm going to find out about it, but Pete said he did not order the
    death of those two men.rCY

When asked if he would have wanted a second attempt to kill the
    survivors, the president said:

WerCOll look into it, but no, I wouldnrCOt have wanted that rCo not a second strike. The first strike was very lethal.rCY

The Washington Post reported that Hegseth rCLgave a spoken directiverCY to rCLkill everybodyrCY on board in September. When there were still two men
left after the first strike, a Special Operations commander ordered the follow-up to comply with HegsethrCOs direction, the newspaper reported.

Hegseth has strongly denied the report, calling it rCLfabricated, inflammatory, and derogatoryrCY.

He also said the USrCOs strikes on boats so far in the Caribbean had been rCLlawful under both US and international lawrCY.

Embarrassing. In a number of counts. Will Hegseth be the first to go?

While Trump is fighting drug trafficking with F-35s, he seems to be
    pardoning a drug lord:

The Ex-President Whom Trump Plans to Pardon Flooded America With Cocaine

On Friday, President Trump announced that he would pardon Mr. Hernandez,
57, who he said was a victim of political persecution, though Mr. Trump offered no evidence to support that claim. It would be a head-spinning resolution to a case that for prosecutors was a pinnacle, striking at
    the heart of a narcostate.
