He did not last very long. No points.

Simonis sacked at Wolfsburg. Points (or rather, half a point) for MH.

Juric (Atalanta) gone! 3 points for everybody, 4.5 for me.

Mainz sack Bo Henriksen. Since he's a two-pointer, MH gets a full
    point for his 0.5 prediction.

    Current Vulture Ranking

    Futbolmetrix 9.5 (Potter 1x1 / Postecoglou 2x2 / Juri-c 1.5x3 /)
    MH 5 (Pereira 0.5x1 / Simonis 0.5x1 / Juri-c 1x3 / Henriksen 0.5x2)

Tudor (Juventus) gone, potential 3 pointer missed by everybody

We also missed Veljko Paunovic of Oviedo, sacked on October 9 (1
point). He has been replaced by Luis Carrion, the most aptly-named
coach for this game (I'm having hime next year, no matter whether he's coaching anybody on deadline day.

You should have had him this year! Carri||n is once more carrion.

Also, Real Sociedad have sacked in-house promotion Sergio Francisco

place), and a couple of days ago Nantes have fired Lu|!s Castro (no

Thanks for the updates here and on the spreadsheet. With 8 days left,
    standings are:

    Vulture Points Correct Picks --------------------------------------------------
    Futbolmetrix 9.5 Postecoglou, Juric, Potter
MH 5.5 Sergio Francisco, Juric, Vitor Pereira,
    Henriksen, Simonis
    Werner 5 Potter, Juric
    Blueshirt 4 Potter, Vitor Pereira

Of the remaining picks, the one who seems to be closest to losing his
job is Alberto Gilardino (Pisa and Werner, 0.5 points). Marco Baroni
of Torino (Futbolmetrix, 1 point) was also close in early December,
but two consecutive wins have probably saved his ass (for now). All
the others seem to be quite safe.

One more missed two-pointer, OGC Nice and Franck Haise part ways.

Collectively, we only got 7 out of a possible 18, and missed two
    3-pointers and two 2-pointers.

That's probably the worst RSSCSC performance so far.

But why?-a they just won the MSGA Cup a few months ago.

    Just Chelsea things.

But they do have a poor run of form with just one win in the last 8
matches (ignoring the EFL cup win against Cardiff). And rumour has it
that Maresca wasn't all that committed to Chelsea.

And rumour has it that Maresca wasn't all that committed to

It wasn't actually about the results.

It was about being told to play certain players and rest
others... using "medical advice". Which caused Maresca to
say things publicly... and with his new agent, seek a new
club for the summer behind the scenes.

The Chelsea FC medical staff can overrule the "Head Coach" on
the line-up and substitutions, whilst the "Sporting Directors"
get to say who comes in to the club and who leaves... the
Chelsea "Head Coach" does as he's told and just coaches the
    team, or packs his bags.

At a guess, I'd say Ruben Amorim is in the same boat based on
his "I came to be the Manager" comments earlier...

We all had Amorim (Blueshirt 3, Werner and I 2, MH 1). Wouldn't have
changed thngs much if the ManU board had acted sooner.

On the other hand, nobody had Maresca.

Maybe we tried to be too fancy with longshot picks so that we could
grab the three-pointers? Or maybe clubs are becoming less
trigger-happy about firing underperforming coaches? (I guess one could
    cjeck the numbers...)

I didn't go with fancy long-shots, but most - if not all - of
the 'managers' I picked actually did get sacked. One went before
the deadline though, whilst Amorim went after the deadline.

I didn't have Maresca though... I considered a lot of Premier
League 'managers' for my picks, yet strangely enough he wasn't
    one of them!

    I'll know better next time.
