    Champions League

Atleti takes care of business at home versus Club Brugge and advance
    to the R16.

In other matches today, Newcastle and Pretenders should easily cruise
    through. Zzzz.

The most interesting match of the day is in Milano, where Italy will reestablish its superiority over those pesky Norwegians in the one
    sport that really counts.

Swiss mercenary playing for the Italians gives away a silly ball at

Still, the Italian superiority is much too superior, they will come

Norwegians in Milano can do no wrong.

The commentators just mentioned that Sondre

Not even close to the CL aggregate record though
    (Bayern-Sporting 12-1 in 2008/09).

And technically itrCOs the same margin by which Chelsea
lost to Bayern in the Round of 16 just six years ago.

It was fun to laugh at the Immaculate Virgins yesterday. Back to
reality today, when Juve will be embarrassed at home by Galatasaray. I
have zero faith in a comeback.

    Other matches:

    Atalanta-Dortmund (first leg: 0-2)
Real Madrid -Benfica (first leg: 1-0)
PSG - Monaco (first leg 2-1)

Should be easy cruising for PSG and Real, can Atalanta save Serie A

Juventus had already missed a few chances before Torreira slid in on 35 minutes with a ridiculous challenge from behind to give away a penalty
which Locaetelli converted by sending the keeper the wrong way to put
Juventus 1-0 up. Juve have been banging on the door since.

As predicted there is life in this tie yet, we're in first half injury
time and Galatasaray lead 5-3 on aggregate.

82 minutes, Juve free kick, headed pass to McKennie at the far post who
heads in to make it 3-0 Juventus, 5-5 on aggregate.

Juventus had not long ago hit the post.

Appalling defending from Galatasaray against ten men, all they had to do
was keep the ball! Good effort Juventus, will it be extra time or
    decided in the 90?

Juventus started the second half of extra time aggressively and missed a couple of good chances, again, you wouldn't know they were a man down. Galatasaray gradually settled down and actually kept the ball (which
they should have just done in 90 minutes) and on 118 minutes Singo
played Yilmaz through knock past the keeper and make the final score
Juventus 3 - Galatasaray 2, Galatasaray win 7-5 on aggregate.

So close, but itrCOs remarkable that in thousands of
European ties since 1955 there still hasnrCOt been a
single one where the away team has made up a
rCyproperrCO three-goal home defeat in the second leg.

(the only instance of this ever happening - Dinamo
Bucharest beating Slovan Liberec on penalties in
2009/10 - came after an awarded 0-3 loss due to
    crowd trouble)

Fenerbah|oe also came up short, and Dinamo Zagreb
almost made up a 1-3 home defeat but fell in extra
    time as well.

Everything else more or less according to expectations.

After AustriarCOs disappointing washout in the league
stage the last Swiss team has now been eliminated as
well. Both leagues will finish outside the top 15 in the
UEFA ranking for the first time since 2011. Not the best
    era for the Wonderland.

ThatrCOs the thing, there have been numerous close calls
