    Very early kickoff in Kazakhstan
Finally, a Champions League match in January in Central Asia!

For meteorological reasons they moved this from Almaty (where it's
    currently -8-#C) to Astana where it's -15-#C, but the stadium's got a
closed roof and I see the Brugge players are mostly wearing short
    sleeves (unlike the Kazakhs).

Later today, a match in Bod|+ where it's currently warmer than in
    Prague. Thanks, Gulf Stream!

    Bungs
    DF: Burgess, Gu|-hi, Tavernier
MF: Foden, Rice, Madueke, Ju. Bellingham
FW: Rashford, Barnes, Saka, Kane (c), Nketiah

Conference Leaguers Gu|-hi (even though technically he's now a Champions
    Leaguer) and Nketiah out.

Anthony Gordon and Rico Lewis in.
And to go all in on the early Man City kickoff, Nico O'Reilly in for
    Jude Bellingham.

    January Bungs:

    DF: R. Lewis, Burgess, Tavernier
    MF: Foden, O'Reilly, Rice, Madueke
FW: Rashford, Barnes, Gordon, Saka, Kane (c)

No Rice, no Madueke. Eze starts, so in he goes,
and Jude Bellingham also back in.

    Djed Spence in for Burgess.

MF: [Foden, O'Reilly], Eze, Ju. Bellingham

Ah what the hell, Delap in for him.

Yeah that went well. And there I was on Tuesday,
thinking the Bungs could be doomed when Dominic
Solanke shooting against his own feet was the only
    goal on the table.

Kane even missed another penalty, which practically
never happens unless itrCOs a high-profile match for
    England.

BIG day for the Bungs, who now become odds-on favorites to win the
whole thing, barring any shocking developments tomorrow. Who knew that
the solution to the Gordon vs Barnes dilemma was to pick them both?

Two big Viking goals (Kornvig and Swedberg), may be enough to keep
them within striking distance of the Bungs in MD8.

Some action in the back of the pack, reshuffling the bonus points.

    MD7 quickie standings:

Bungs 7 [Ju. Bellingham, Kane 2(x2), Gordon, Barnes]
    Armata 3 [Scamacca, Pisilli 2]
    Rockers 3 [Oluwaseyi, McKennie, Trusty]
    Vikings 3 [Hauge, Kornvig, Swedberg]
    Gaels 2 [McTominay (x2)]
    Gulfers 2 [M. Diomande, Dele]
    Waffles 2 [Vanaken, Mechele]
    Jogo 1 [Vinicius Jr.]
    Flickers and Wonderland 0

Not a great week for the German speakers.

    Full report to follow.
