I can't tell you how many predictions I got right last year yet because
they scheduled the African Cup of nations for such a daft time. I had a
quick count this morning and so far I think I've got 15 correct plus 10 runners-up.

Why am I the only rsser that makes pre-season predictions?

Mid-season in a lot of cases.

    Domestic League Championships:

    Argentina: Racing Club
    Brazil: Palmeiras
Chile: Universidad Catolica Promotion: Cobreloa Chilean League top scorer: Fernando Zampedri
    Paraguay: Cerro Porteno
    Uruguay: Penarol
    Netherlands: PSV Eindhoven
    RU: Feyenoord
    France: Paris Saint Germain

I hope not. Go Lens !

    Portugal: Porto
    RU: Sporting CP
    Scotland: Celtic
    RU: Rangers

Now that is a pretty bold prediction this year, given that Hearts are 6
points ahead, Celtic a Shambles, and Rangers have recovered from a poor
start and only have two losses to Celtic's 6. I hope the race stays
    tight until the end.

But why no predictions for the really tough ones? The EPL this year for instance ? Or how about the interesting races in Russia, Switzerland
and Belgium, to name but a few.

Germany: Bayern Munchen German Cup: Bayern Munchen Italy: Internazionale

I would not be so confident of that one, since Milan have been doing
well and don't have the distraction of European football.

    Spain: Barcelona

Because for most of us the season is half way over and it would be
cheating to make predictions at this stage. That is why we don't allow entries into the various SPCs after the competition has started.
And if you read some of the posts especially the SPCs predictions are
    being made

    It's not a top league...

Plus it's full of English clubs. ;-)

It would be great to see Lens win it! Unfortunately PSG are more likely
    though.

I made a prediction for the Argentinian League. That's a tough one this
year. Anyway it's just that they're not top leagues so I don't follow
them, and as Blueshirt says, the EPL is full of English clubs.

People could make predictions for the European competitions in
July/August and make predictions for tournaments that start at a
sensible time of year in January.

I made a prediction for the Argentinian League. That's a

I could probably put forward an argument that most of the main
Premier League clubs are not really English anymore, being
foreign owned and full of non-English players ... but now that
Chelsea FC have just appointed an English Head Coach I couldn't
    be so churlish.
