I've just checked and can now say I do know something about them. Coquimbo have never been Champions of Chile before; they've been runners-up twice though, in 1991 and the Apertura Championship of 2005.

It was such a remarkable campaign. 20 wins (14 in a row, and
counting...), 5 draws, and only one defeat, against Colo-Colo.
There are 4 matches ahead, if Coquimbo wins all of them it will become

Coquimbo Unido is the team of the city of Coquimbo, it has a bitter
rivalry with Deportes La Serena (team of the neighbour city of... La
Serena). Both teams were title-less, until now.

By the way, Deportes La Serena is fighting for not being relegated this
year, and has a match against Coquimbo three weeks from now...

Chilean first division this year was very record-breaking.

Other astonishing numbers from Coquimbo:
- 16 wins in a row, equalizing the record of Universidad de Chile in the 1960's. This streak also implies that one team defeated every other team
at least once.
- Best campaign in a long tournament (30 or more matches), 83,3%

By the way, the league top scorer was again Fernando Zampedri
(naturalized chilean), of Universidad Cat||lica. He has been top scorer 6 years in a row (from 2020 onwards), more than any chilean league striker
(and IIRC only 1 year from the world record).

In the end, Uni||n Espa|#ola and Deportes Iquique were relegated... but
they are challenging that because there is an unforgivable mistake in
the torunament rules... It will probably go to the TAS.
