From Estadio Monumental de Lima, Peru:

    Palmeiras 0-1 Flamengo

    67' Danilo

Thus Flamengo wins their 4th ever Libertadores (Brazilian record). Not
the most rocking of all games, but Flamengo clearly had the upper hand
here and deserved to win. After a corner kick, both a Palmeiras and a
Flemengo player challenged high for the ball, which then headed towards
the endline. A Palmeiras defender nearby misjudged who was the last
player to touch the ball and allowed it to go out, thinking it was going
to be a goal kick. Turned out his own teammate had done it, and from the ensuing corner kick Danilo headed in the title winning goal.

Palmeiras kinda woke up after conceding, and even blew a couple of close chances, but it was too little, too late.

This was the 25th Libertadores title for Brasil, which now matches
Argentina's record. Also, 7th Brazilian title in a row too.

Having avenged their 2021 loss to the same opponent, Flamengo will now
wrap up the league this Wednesday, so this is going to be a long
    celebratory week for them.

So yeah, football sucks immensely. But c'est la vie.

    Best regards,

Ouch, that's tough. A one-week solo retreat in the Parque de Tijuca,
    maybe?

Heh, wouldn't be a bad idea at all. At least they won this one in Lima.
At this moment downtown Rio is crowded, as they arrived home and are
parading the trophy, but my corner of the woods is somewhat surprisingly peaceful. But on Wednesday it'll be at Maracan|u.

I didn't manage to see the match. I was just getting error loading player or whatever when I tried to watch it online.

How good a match was it? Would it be worth watching a recording of it? How long is it before I can watch recordings of matches on Footballia anyway?

It was OK, a defensive match as the score suggests. A Flamengo player
could have seen red in the 1st half when a guy with a Germanic name
kicked another guy with a Germanic name.

The stadium and scenery around the stadium was spectacular though.
