<div>What Discover is saying is strictly true, but they are splitting hairs. EWC does not require any participation by Discover since Intuit (the Quicken aggregation provider) uses the customer's userid & password to log into the Discover website and download the transactions to the Quicken/Intuit server for later retrieval by the desktop program.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I've been having the same "Sorry the sign in failed do to time out or connection error" message, IMMEDIATELY (not a timeout) for days. Its as if DiscoverBank isn't allowing EWC / aggregation to be done anymore. This is infuriating. Our family has many accounts with them.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>It does seem like it's still getting transactions for most of our accounts, but I cannot add 2 new accounts due to the "connection" issue, and my wife changed her password at DiscoverBank recently, and as a result of the "connection" issue, I can't update quicken to the new password for her accounts.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>What did Quicken do to tick-off DiscoverBank?</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>how to download discover card transactions into quicken</div><div></div><div>Download File:
https://t.co/zWw7xV5MoT </div><div></div><div></div><div>But there is a FREE one called ImportQIF by quicknperlwiz, a regular on this forum, that will convert the .CSV file into .QIF and it filters out duplicate transactions that it has processed in the past, does payee renaming and category assignments based on renamed payee.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Thank you very much for this advice. My discover card was able to update but nothing I did was able to get quicken to update my discover bank account. This has gone on for several weeks. When trying to set up the connection it was only seeing the card and not the bank. After logging out and then back in it finally recognized both accounts.</div><div></div><div></div><div>same exact for me. Quicken Anja reported there was a fix and then said to try doing the sign out of quickend ID but it still is not working. Others are saying discover no longer connects to Quicken. Frustrating to not get straight answers. Ready to drop discover card at this rate. Maybe Quicken too with all the connection issues they have with various banks. Spend more time "fixing" errors than just reconciling accounts.</div><div></div><div></div><div>This is weird but this is my situation. Discover CC was downloading yet the banking was not. The banking started downloading on August 31st. The credit card stopped downloading on August 25th. This is very frustrating. The balance is there but the transactions supporting that balance are not. I've had to manually input the cc transactions. If this is a dispute, it needs to be corrected. We're paying for a service that's not working.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I was able to export into Quicken yesterday morning, but not today. I use this to import into my budgeting software. I've been a Discover customer for a long time, but loss of this feature would push me to find another credit card as my primary which will support it.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>Anyways, while helping a family member with a huge court case, I had to pull all her banking transactions for every bank 3 years - DONE. Since I have it in excel I want to get her on a financial program (quicken or Banktivity).</div><div></div><div></div><div>Until Sep 20th I had no problems downloading transactions from Discover by selecting the Quicken format. Yesterday, the Discover website no longer lists Quicken as an option. My choices are Excel, CSV, or PDF. How do you import CSV into MoneyDance.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Instant deposit is an additional service offered by QuickBooks Payments subject to eligibility criteria, including delayed eligibility for new users and availability for only some transactions and financial institutions. The service carries a 1.75% fee in addition to standard rates for ACH, swiped, invoiced, and keyed card transactions. This 1.75% fee does not apply to payments deposited into a QuickBooks Checking account. Deposits are sent to the financial institution or debit card that you have selected to receive instant deposits in up to 30 minutes. Transactions between 2:15 PM PT and 3:15 PM PT are excluded and processed the next day. Deposit times may vary due to third party delays.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Same-day deposit: Same Day Deposit allows you to have near-real time deposits sent to you on a predetermined daily schedule (up to 3x a day, Monday through Sunday, including holidays). Same Day Deposit is an additional service offered by QuickBooks Payments subject to eligibility criteria, for no extra fee for QuickBooks Money users. QuickBooks Money payment request fees apply for ACH and card transactions. Once batched, eligible deposits will be sent to your QuickBooks Money account, and will be available in up to 30 minutes. Transactions between 2:15-3:00 pm PST are excluded and transactions after 9:00 pm PST will be available for deposit the following morning. Deposit times may vary for third party delays.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Payment Dispute Protection: Payments Dispute Protection ("PDP") is an additional service that covers you for certain payment disputes (i.e. "chargebacks") that your customer initiates through its card issuer associated with a credit or debit card transaction on the American Express, Discover, Mastercard or Visa networks and are processed by QuickBooks Payments while you are enrolled in PDP. You must be enrolled in PDP when both the customer's payment is processed and payment dispute is initiated to receive coverage. Payment disputes covered by PDP are subject to a per-payment dispute coverage limit of $10,000 with a total annual coverage limit of $25,000 for all payment disputes received on a rolling 365-day period. Payment disputes related to transactions processed by QuickBooks Payments prior to 3 PM PT on your enrollment day will not be covered if you enrolled in PDP after 3 PM PT. The PDP service fee ranges from .99% to 1.99%, based on eligibility criteria. Terms, conditions, and service fee subject to change without notice.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Maybe common with other billpay options (never really had a reason to use it before), but billpays enter account activity when the payment clears. And there's no easy correlation between individual billpay initiations and their appearance on account activity or statement. So when I go to reconcile my account at the end of the month and I've entered 6 $50 bill pays into Quicken and there are 5 $50 transactions on the statement, there's no easy way to determine which ones to mark as cleared. I have to log into the site (if it happens to be working), click on each individual cleared billpay transaction to view the document image and try to make out the payee, then correlate that check # with the check # on the statement. It's a bit of a pain.</div><div></div><div></div><div>This week, the cause of the errors when using Pocketsense to download Discover transactions (Discover Bank & Discover Charge Card) is that, without telling anybody, Discover has changed your Account ID needed to access their OFX server, and the only one* method of revealing what your ID has been changed to, is by downloading and reviewing a statement from the discover.com website.</div><div></div><div></div><div>More bad news: Has Quicken bought off Discover too? As of 10/1/2022, it appears that the Discover CC website no longer offers OFX / QFX as download options, so now those transactions will have to be manually entered into Money.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Customer service states that Capital One does not support Direct Connect services for credit card accounts (as of 6/15/09). However, a manual download of transactions from the web browser online access in ofx format, and subsequent import into GnuCash, is possible and works well.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The manual account will now show in your Accounts List. Since the account is manual, the Transaction Activity will be blank, but you can start adding transactions whenever you're ready! Click here for more information on how to add manual transactions into your account!</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>Please note: Our credit card system allows file downloads for use in Quicken and QuickBooks software, as well as other applications that can accept file imports. Comma Delimited / Comma Separated Values (csv), QuickBooks (qbo), Quicken (qfx) and tab delimited files (tab) are supported. When viewing your card transactions, you can filter and export the results in the format desired. From the Transactions menu, click Search Transactions, and then Export Results.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>This is usually caused by overlapping a date range when importing your Web Connect file. You may discover that your register is out of balance or that you are being asked to add an adjustment during reconciliation. Depending on the number of duplicate transactions imported, the best solution may be to restore your backup file created earlier in the conversion process. If there are not many transactions, you can delete them prior to, or after accepting them to the register.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Apologies, I mis-remembered the steps for importing the cash account. Namely, the CSV file only includes Applecard activity - not cash back. So, in order to import the cash back transactions into my Apple cash account I save the PDF statement, open it with PDFPen and export as XLSX. Sheet 2 includes the cash transactions that can be imported</div><div></div><div></div><div>I used the CSV file for importing the January statement into Moneydance and discovered a bug. The issue is that it is quite possible for a textual comma to appear inside a field. Apple does not use any substitution for it, and so, it causes the rest of that field to be interpreted as the next field and all subsequent fields to be moved right one field. This occurred in my file when there was address in the memo field.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I had no luck importing the QFX file into Banktivity, though CSV import works perfectly (I do have to manually change the sign of the transactions in Numbers first, however). Banktivity does not seem to like something about the Apple Card QFX format.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Any type of transaction (digital, debit card, ATM, in-branch, etc.) can trigger a real-time alert. For debit card transactions, real-time alerts apply for Centier Consumer Debit and Business Debit cards only. They do not apply for HELOC cards.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The City now offers the convenience of viewing your utility account through an online portal. Customers can view account balances, billing history, water consumption, and make online payments using Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. Please note that convenience fees are applied to all credit and debit card transactions.</div><div></div><div> df19127ead</div>
