From Newsgroup: rec.puzzles


Now that NovaBBS is apparently or possibly going to disappear...
Im trying to find an alternative.


the NovaBBS GUI was quite nice.... this one (NewsGrouper.org)
is good too....

If i can put 2 (or more) blank lines in a row, that'd be nice.



My biggest (possible) Gripe right now is....
The thread with the latest activity (post) doesn't rise to the TOP?

Yes, this is the only big problem I'm seeing.


(A much smaller problem is....
I liked how NovaBBS showed me all the Posts in a Thread)

Just now (for 2 minutes) NovaBBS was running fine.

Maybe this would happen once a day (every day) in the morning.

For me, possibly... the nicest features of Newsgrouper.org (GUI)
are:

Everything is very fast
searching for available NGs
The list of The NGs i've visited

Right now I see that https://news.novabbs.org is working
but https://www.novabbs.com is not.

"Retro Guy" Thom Miller's widow Kaylen posted an announcement of his death,
but I don't think she is a technical person, so unless someone else can
take over running the site its future is uncertain.

For me, possibly... the nicest features of Newsgrouper.org (GUI)
