    Hi All,

I read somewhere that squash bugs hated the smell of
onions. So I planted a green onions in each of my Zucchini
plots. And I also make a witch's brew of onion and
poured it over my zucchini plants.

    Results: still had squash bugs.

    Dang!

    :'(

fortunately i haven't had to battle insects on my veggies. i
get some white moths but the damage has always been minimal.

i had been battling scarlet beetles last couple years. left
alone they will absolutely decimate lilly foliage. this year i
dusted the lilly patch with diatomaceous earth when they first
appeared and haven't seen any beetles or new damage to the
    plants since.
