Yes, it's early, but I thought I'd ask just the same since it's on
    my mind.

What's landing on your dinner table tonight? Something special,
something just average, heading out to a new or favorite establishment
    or getting delivery?

Saturday evening, I pulled out of the freezer a chuck roast I had
intended to cook Sunday; it's in the crockpot today. After a quick
browning on all sides it went into the crock with seasonings, sliced
mushrooms, and a can of cream of mushroom soup, and about rao can of
water to get the last bit of soup out. It should be ready to eat
around 4:30 or 5:00 and the side dishes will be a corn pudding/casserole
    and green beans.

This will be my first time cooking a corn pudding/casserole and I'm
anxious to see how it turns out. Searching the internet there's two
versions. One has Jiffy cornmeal mix as an ingredient and one is sans cornmeal mix. I opted for the non-cornmeal version, but I will try
    that one at later date.

    The corn casserole sounds interesting.

Just put two potatoes in the air fryer. I'll have a half tonight with a couple of Just Barely chicken breast strips. I'll put them in the AF
    when 13 minutes left.

The three potato halves left will be made into a double baked type with
cheese and whatever looks good at the time. They reheat well in the Af
    and retain the skin texture.

Beverage will be a G & T as I have an open bottle of tonic that will go
    flat if not used.

I had mentioned recently about not doing potatoes for a long time and
how good the were when we had them for the first time in about three
months. Last night be had air fries for the first time since the start
of our potato hiatus. They were great.

Have you tried the Fever Tree tonic water? I used to love G&T but have
not had one in years. I love ginger beer and have been buying cases of
Fever Tree and thoroughly enjoying it. Their tonic water is usually
available for sale right next to the ginger beer and I have been tempted
to get some but I am too cheap to buy a case of 24 just to try it. If I
drank more G&Ts I would gladly pay the extra money for exceptional tonic.

The Irish had a Potato Famine. Dave Smith had a Potato Hiatus.
