Super easy, plus you can switch nuts, which is bonus.

    Best Nuts for Baklava
As for the nuts, in addition to walnuts, you can use unsalted pistachios. Pistachios and walnuts are the classic fillings for baklava. If yourCOre feeling adventurous, you can also use cashews or hazelnuts. TheyrCOre not traditional, but IrCOm sure theyrCOll be tasty.

We only buy raw pistachios, and they always come unsalted. Luckily, I
    have plenty of flour salt.

Roasted nuts of any kind in baklava sounds awful.

Baklava without nuts sounds a little nutty but I suppose anything under the sun is possible. I might have to cook up a batch of fruity baklava.

I can't eat Baklava because of the nuts but I discovered a similar
dessert that uses a dense, sweet custard instead of nuts,
Galaktoboureko. It uses sheets of phyllo brushed with melted butter,
Instead of a mixture of nuts, sugar and spices you pour in the custard mixture. Cut it, bake it and then pour the syrup over it. I don't
usually eat desserts in restaurants but if it is a Greek restaurant and
they have that on the menu bring it on.

Did you know that pistachios aren't nuts? What we call the shell is
actually the stone of the pistachio stone fruit. Inside the stone is a
seed, that we eat. Thank you.

But this is probably way too nerdy for a country that eats beans
    scampi.

Yes, he can't have nuts, lives in a fruit belt and is lactose
intolerant. So how does it help to leave out the nuts and swap in milk
based custard? I worry about him, you know.

Allergic to everything man. That's why he had Megatron (a robot) built

Still, that's got to be a better wife than Queen McCrone I guess.
